What is the environmental label for?

The DGT's environmental label or sticker identifies your vehicle's emission level and determines whether you can drive in low-emission zones or during pollution episodes. It is mandatory to drive in many cities.

What types of environmental label are there?

There are 4 types: Label 0 (electric and hydrogen vehicles), ECO Label (plug-in hybrids and gas), Label C (petrol Euro 4+ and diesel Euro 6+), Label B (petrol Euro 3 and diesel Euro 4/5). The most polluting vehicles get no label.

Can I request the environmental label online?

What happens if my vehicle was imported?

If your vehicle was imported, the label is assigned based on the Spanish technical data sheet. The vehicle must already be registered in Spain.
