Retention of title is a charge that appears on the vehicle's records when it was purchased on finance. While this retention exists, the vehicle cannot be freely sold until the loan has been paid off or the finance company cancels it.

Once you have paid off the loan or the financed item, the finance company issues a letter of payment or release of the retention. With that document we can process the cancellation before the DGT.

You need the letter of payment or authorisation issued by the finance company, the vehicle's registration certificate and technical data sheet, and your ID or NIE.

Usually between 5 and 15 business days from when we receive all the documentation correctly. We keep you informed at every stage.
